8 STEPS TO PICK YOURSELF UP AFTER A BAD DAY!

How To: Pick Yourself Up After A Bad Day in 8 steps.

We’ve all had a bad day, or maybe even a couple in a row and that’s okay because it’s totally normal!
It would be ideal to live the ‘perfect’ life however that’s unlikely possible and at some point life’s just going to throw you with Rosa Parks famous words of, “nah”.
Now being a very temperamental person or as my mom would put it, a “hothead”, I’ve been known to let my anger just simmer inside until I completely erupt over something as small as my pencil falling off my desk. Ridiculous I know but that’s what I would describe as an off day for me, whether it be family on your case, or that dragon of a boss, who is slave driving you, or even just your car breaking down and you were late for an appointment, I’ve been through it all and let me tell you I understand that when nothing’s going your way and that pencil falls off your desk, it just feels like your world came crashing down.

In This post I’ll give you some tips and tricks that I found to have calmed or let’s say soothed the bad day away.

In This post I’ll give you some tips and tricks that I found to have calmed or let’s say soothed the bad day away.

#1 LET THAT SH*T GO : I know it’s hard but just breathe in, and on your exhale let all the negativity and negative thoughts drain out of you.
– #2 FIND A MIRROR : Weird I know but essential, you are going to look at your reflection and pep talk yourself. Remind yourself of your value, how strong you are and that the universe has your back!
– #3 THROW YOURSELF INTO… :  whether you’re at work or at home, find a project to completely throw yourself into and distract your mind.
– #4 EAT : I can’t stress this enough, most times when I’m having a bad day and haven’t eaten it can make my mood a millioooooon times worse.
– #5 TAKE A BATH : This is probably the most vital step that I most enjoy. Run a bath, light some candles, add some bumbles, throw a bath bomb into the mix (lush bath bombs are the best and cruelty free to!) and just soak that bad mood right out.
– #6 DO YOU BOO : Read a book you’ve been meaning to read, or make your own DIY at home face mask, paint your nails or even write an angry letter and burn it. Just pamper yourself!
– #7 REST : NB! Get a good nights sleep because nothing can make your problems seem worse than they are by being over tired.
– #8 SELF REMINDER : Just think to yourself that in a day, week or even a year from now it won’t matter anymore.

I hope these tips work as well for you as they do for me! Remember life’s short so don’t let that bad day get the best of you! Forget that bad day today and go plan that good day you’ll have tomorrow. 🙂

Wanderlustfully Yours,

GirlinProgress 🌈
